Nikki Lock - Physiotherapist
Nikki graduated with first class Honours from the University of Cape Town, South Africa, in 2003. She was awarded distinctions for both clinical subjects and class medal in her final year. After graduating, she began working in the sporting world traveling with various Rugby, Athletics and Gymnastics teams to national and international events. Following her passion for rehabilitation, Nikki also formed part of the multi-professional team that opened the first Neurological Rehab unit of its kind in the Province. After moving to London in 2006, Nikki began her Pilates training through APPI and has recently started lecturing for this Institute.
Nikki believes strongly in rehabilitation through functional movement and uses both her sports and personal experience to achieve significant results in all aspects of her patient rehabilitation.
Expertise:
Her national Gymnastics and dance background has fuelled a special interest in high level sport and more specifically, the maximizing of athletes performance. After working in various private clinics and sports injuries centres in and around London, Nikki began working as Senior Physiotherapist for Harlequins RFL for 2 years, traveling with the academy teams and assisting with the 1st team. Nikki believes strongly in rehabilitation through functional movement and uses both her sports and personal experience to achieve significant results in all aspects of her patient rehabilitation.

Nikki enjoys surfing, scuba diving, the outdoors and traveling the world!
Wendy Koch - Senior Physiotherapist
In 1996, Wendy graduated with a Bachelor of Applied Science in Physiotherapy with first class Honours from the University of South Australia. Since graduating, Wendy has worked in both private and public environments in Australia and the UK, including her own private practice which included a niche service for pregnant and postnatal women. Prior to joining Pilates Art Wimbledon in May 2008, Wendy worked at the Westminster Primary Care Trust in London where she established, and implemented, a Womens Health Service and a Pain Management Programme.
Expertise:
Wendy has significant experience in assessing treating complex presentations and persistent/chronic pain. She has pursued a special interest in the management of pelvic and low back pain in pregnant and postnatal women, as well as other male and female clients, and has undergone extensive postgraduate training with world renowned Physiotherapist Diane Lee. Wendy has significant experience in acupuncture for both musculoskeletal and womens health problems and is an accredited member of the Acupuncture Association of Chartered Physiotherapists (AACP).
Personal interests:
Wendy enjoys yoga, playing tennis and cycling.
